Knowing who I am as Henry Clay’s child is one of the core concepts of my very being. Growing up, with him as my father, has shaped my expectations, my personality, and my outlook on life. … I know that as his child, he will always love me for who I am; I can go to him in weakness or in success, I can always trust him to act in my very best interest, and I know that I will always be precious in his sight. … My dad well reflects the love that God, our Father, has for each of us. In the same way, our relationship with God as our Father should be a core definition of our existence, a centrally defining feature of who we are.
